Position Description
It is the general duty of the Commercial Account Manager to manage the book of business and the clients with in it from new business to renewal.
  • Review commercial policy coverages and recommendations with clients
  • Handle coverage change requests from client request to policy issuance
  • Processing policy transactions
  • Managing renewal lists and the renewal process for clients
  • Re-quoting and rewriting/marketing commercial policies as required
  • Dealing face-to-face with customers
  • Taking customer claims and submitting to insurers
  • Maintain professional demeanor when handling complaints, problem solving, and interpreting/resolving conflicts with clients and the general public
  • Sales orientation

  • High School diploma and Post Secondary Education
  • Commercial Insurance experience necessary
  • RIBO licence required
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Accounting knowledge a strong advantage
