Position Description
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Retail Store Manager to join their growing team. In this role, the successful candidate would be responsible for the successful of day-to-day operation of the store. This position is very hands-on, and requires excellent customer service, communication, leadership, team building, merchandising, and time management skills.

Education
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a retail management position
  • Outstanding customer service and leadership skills are essential
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
     

Requirements
  • Act as intial contact for all situations at store level
  • Draft and prepare budgets for approval of owner
  • Order merchandise and supplies. Process incoming shipments, verify stock with packing slips and price merchandise. Maintain an accurate accounting of inventory and prepare reports
  • Maintaint inventory to maximize turns and reduce inventory shrinkage
  • Oversee proper operation of all IT components in the store
  • Manage POS handware and software
  • Liase with the owner on a daily basis
  • Maximize the profitability of the store, while maintaining excellent customer service at all times
  • Able to create and implement a marketing/promotional/display plan
  • Able to motivate staff to work toward a common vision and purpose, leading by example
  • Prepare and manage employee schedules
  • Able to make quick and efficient decisions
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and perform employee evaluations
  • Submit payroll and daily sales reports as required to Head Office
  • Cover the sales floor and operate POS register as needed
  • Process daily deposits
  • Attend trade shows to source new and on trend merchandise
  • Relationship development with vendors

Additional Information
  • Must be available on call to troubleshoot any issues requiring immediate attention
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
